Create a Halloween landscape you can return to, rearrange, and enjoy. Inspired by the contemplative spirit of Zen gardens, this original design from Zenify’s Pocket of Calm collection invites you to slow down through the simple pleasure of shaping a scene by hand.
Trace a winding path through purple sand, settle the raven beneath the obsidian tree, and find a place for the pumpkin. Familiar Halloween characters bring a playful touch to a quiet ritual, with room for your imagination and a moment just for you.

Set the scene
Pour the sand into the tin. Arrange the tree, pumpkin, raven and stones, leaving some sand open for your own marks.
Trace a path
Gently sweep the surface with the broom, or use its handle to draw a winding path through the sand. Follow a curve around the tree and see where it leads.
Begin again whenever you like
Enjoy the scene you have made, then smooth the sand or move a detail whenever the mood takes you. Each arrangement can become a fresh reason to return.

Do I need to know how to meditate?
No. Start by arranging the scene and tracing the sand. Enjoy a few quiet minutes or spend longer finding a place for each detail. There is no right pattern to make.
How do I choose between Classic and Light-Up?
Choose Classic if you plan to enjoy your garden during the day or in a well-lit space. Choose Light-Up if you would also like to use it in the evening—trace the sand, arrange your landscape, and enjoy its Halloween atmosphere as the scene glows.
Can I keep using it after Halloween?
Yes. If Halloween is something you love, give it a place in your everyday life. Keep your garden nearby and rearrange it whenever you want a fresh scene, whatever the season.
Can I close the tin and take it with me?
Pack it away first: return the sand to its bag and secure the separate pieces before carrying it. The arranged landscape is not designed to travel intact.
Will my obsidian tree look exactly like the photographs?
Natural obsidian and hand assembly create variations in stone shape, sheen and branch arrangement. Your tree may differ slightly from the one pictured.
Can I replace the Light-Up batteries?
Yes. The Light-Up edition uses two replaceable CR2032 coin-cell batteries. Replace both when needed and follow the included lighting instructions.
How do I look after it, and is it suitable for children?
Keep the tin, sand and lighting dry, and use a soft, dry brush to tidy displaced sand. This set is intended for adult use. Keep loose sand, small pieces and coin-cell batteries away from children and pets.

I went for the Light-Up version because I like little evening displays. The dark tree and purple sand are enough of my usual style that I would happily keep it out after Halloween. There are several loose pieces, so I gave it a permanent spot rather than trying to move it around. I don't make elaborate patterns; I mostly sweep the surface and change where the raven sits. That is plenty of entertainment for a quick break.
The Halloween details are fun, but I would probably pack it away for most of the year. For a garden I use every day, I'd choose a less seasonal scene.

I like that the little broom belongs to the Halloween scene and also gives me something to do with the sand. It feels more considered than just putting a pumpkin in a regular garden.
